Rachel Horak
Rachel grew up in Charlotte, NC, before attending Appalachian State University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in American Sign Language. She went on to earn her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Rachel's passion for working with children flourished through more than 10 years of teaching swim lessons. This experience sparked her love for connecting with children of all ages and supporting them as they learn, grow, and build confidence. As an occupational therapist, Rachel strives to meet each child where they are and provide individualized support that helps them reach their fullest potential. She values both client- and family-centered care and incorporates a child-led approach into her therapy to create a positive, engaging, and supportive environment. Her clinical interests include feeding therapy, sensory integration, and emotional regulation. Outside of the clinic, Rachel enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, eating ice cream, and watching a good movie.
