Ashley Hancock

Ashley Hancock earned her undergraduate and master's degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Western Illinois University. Ashley has experience working with children ages 1-15 years. Ashley is a neurodiversity-affirming therapist who listens to the autistic community in providing her therapy services. She has experience working with neurodiverse populations of all ages through a strengths-based model. She specializes in working with gestalt language processors, expressive and receptive language delays, augmentative and alternative communication, multimodal communication, foundational communication skills, and self-advocacy to support pragmatic language. Ashley has experience working with autistic children of various ages and support needs. Her approach to AAC is based in implementing communication systems for autonomy and connection to support the communicators autonomous expression." She loves child-led play, co-regulation, and honoring all forms of communication through relationship-based sessions. Ashley enjoys going on walks, cooking, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.
