Maya Dupree

MSOT, OTR/L

Maya Dupree is a passionate occupational therapist with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from UNC-Charlotte and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Pfeiffer University. She discovered her passion for helping children reach their full potential through roles such as volunteering as a Girls on the Run coach, teaching children at her church's Sunday school, and supporting children with varying diagnoses at an achievement center. Additionally, she has experience in outpatient pediatric settings and inpatient rehabilitation. Through these experiences, Maya developed an interest in sensory processing, primitive reflex integration, motor delays, and emotional regulation. She believes that child-led therapy fosters self-confidence and autonomy, therefore, empowering children to have an active role in their growth. She values building strong connections with children and their families and working collaboratively to support independence across various aspects of a child's life. As a Charlotte native, Maya enjoys exploring the city she has always called home, reading books, hiking, watching '90s sitcoms, and spending time with her family and friends!
