Laureen Giles

Laureen has lived in Charlotte, NC since 1996. She received an Associate degree in Applied Science in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Central Piedmont Community College in 2016. In 2021, Laureen decided to return to school to transition from an OT assistant to an Occupational Therapist. She was accepted into the Occupational Therapy bridge program at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in Concord, NC. There, Laureen received a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences and then received her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy in 2024. She has extensive experience in sensory integration, working with children that have ADHD, autism, Down syndrome, sensory processing disorder, prematurity, various genetic disorders, and developmental delays. She believes every child is unique and strives to make therapy client centered to promote the most optimal success with reaching the goals that are most important to them and their families. In her spare time, Laureen loves to work on arts and crafts, enjoys cooking, baking, exploring new restaurants in the Charlotte area, and going on fun adventures with her children and family.
