My name is Demi Oliver! I received my Bachelor of Arts in Child Development at Michigan State University and completed my Masters in Speech Language Pathology at Bowling Green State University.
I have enjoyed working with children ages 0-23 in the outpatient and school settings, while treating a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to expressive-receptive language disorder, articulation disorders, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). I have an interest and enjoy furthering my education in feeding disorders, tethered oral tissues, Myofunctional therapy, social language, and fluency. I prioritize developing strong relationships with children and families in order to increase motivation and facilitate positive therapy outcomes in a positive learning environment. I believe treatment should be individualized, collaborative in nature to involve the whole family.
I am excited to bring my experiences to the ACT Therapy Services team. I love this field and cannot wait to build strong relationships with future clients while making an impact on patients and their family’s lives.
In my free time, I enjoy running, lifting weights, baking, trying new restaurants, exploring the Charlotte area, and traveling.
