Kayla Elmore Uhl, M.S., CCC-SLP graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Appalachian State University. Kayla specializes in orofacial myofunctional disorders, speech-sound disorders, and apraxia of speech. Kayla has completed intensive training in myofunctional disorders and is in on the IAOM track to obtain COM® certification. She works with children and adults of all ages.
Kayla believes the best part of being an SLP is building relationships with families in order to best support growth and progress with therapy. She loves to coordinate with other professionals working with the patient in a team-based approach to treatment. Kayla has lived in Charlotte, NC since she was born. In her free time, you can find her spending time with friends and family, gardening, and playing with her dog.
