Emily Colvin, M.S., OTR/L, is a Charlotte native who earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from AdventHealth University in Orlando, Florida. She graduated from Samford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Life Education. Growing up, Emily recognized her love for the pediatric setting while working as a camp counselor. She discovered her passion for occupational therapy in high school after watching the positive impact the profession has had in her own family through the lives of her cousins who have special needs. She is passionate about providing family-centered care and supporting the family unit as a whole. She seeks to partner with each child to encourage holistic participation, promote meaningful play, and develop functional abilities through a strengths-based approach. Emily has clinical experience with children and adults of all ages in schools, home health, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and private clinics. In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching basketball, trail walks, and Auburn football.
