Although a Charlotte native, Alix graduated from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree from Augusta University. Alix discovered her love for working in pediatrics at age 15 when she became a YMCA camp counselor. Since, she has worked with children, adolescents, and adults with all abilities in a variety of settings from schools, private clinics, hospitals and inpatient rehabilitation. Alix is excited about joining the ACT Speech Therapy team to provide Occupational Therapy services to help foster growth and development through play with each child and their families. She enjoys working with children with sensory processing dysfunction, dyspraxia, and social communication deficits -helping them grow to their full potential. In her free time Alix likes to go running and hiking with her goldendoodle, Cam, traveling with her family, and cheering on The Dawgs and The Panthers with her friends!
